Nadal vs Berdych Wimbledon 2010 Final

The Spaniard, Nadal is still only 24 and he has already won his 8^th Grand slam championships. There were lots of people doubting him winning a grand slam again after he suffered a major knee injury but he has come back and proved them wrong once again by winning French Open and Wimble in 5 weeks. The guy is just amazing. Thousands of promotional merchandise were made after this win and if you visit Spain, either it’s Nadal on their t-shirt or the national football team. It looks like it will be Spain’s year but can Holland and Germany upset the odds, who knows.

The start of the tournament in SW14 was absolutely amazing this year. Since the first week we got to see some fantastic matches. Unseeded players playing for proud and giving a lot of top seeds massive problems. Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal both had tough 5 set matches in the first week. We also had a marathon of a match between John Isner and Nicolas Mahut. Mahut and Isner played the longest match and the longest set in the history of Wimbledon. Mahut was eventually beaten by Isner in the fifth set by 70-68.

The weather was laso brilliant. Rain didn’t play any part in this year’s tournament, which was a big surprise, which didn’t happen since 1995. No rain in Wimbledon? Shocking isn’t it? 2 weeks of Wimbledon ended last sunday and there was a new champion from the name of Rafael Nadal who took over the crown won by Federer last year, it was a good final but Nadal was just superb and beat Berdych by 3 sets to 0.

No wonder why the Spanish fans are all wearing promotional clothing of Rafael Nadal’s wimbledon crown and wishing him all the best for US Open. Even I have bought some promotional pens, which clearly says Rafa is the best well not literally. I know few people who would love this as a gift as they absolutely adore Nadal.

Some people have already started saying this was the best Wimbledon ever, but what do you think?
